'Planet Nine' is a hypothetical large planet in the far outer Solar System, beyond Neptune, proposed in January 2016 by Konstantin Batygin and Mike Brown. They proposed it to explain the unusual clustering of the orbits of distant Kuiper Belt objects; it has not yet been observed.
