Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the questions we hear most. Can’t find yours? Contact us.
Is NextMock free?
Yes. Mock tests, previous year papers and result analysis are currently free to use. See Pricing for details.
Do I need an account?
You can browse exams and read previous year questions without one. To attempt a test, save your results and bookmark questions, sign in with your email address.
How do I sign in? There’s no password.
We email you a one-time code each time you sign in, so there’s no password to remember or leak. If the code doesn’t arrive, check your spam folder and request a new one after a minute.
Are the tests based on the real exam pattern?
Yes. Each test follows its exam’s sections, number of questions, time limit and marking scheme, including negative marking where the exam has it.
Can I practise in Hindi?
Yes. Use the language switch in the header to move the whole site to Hindi. Questions are shown in Hindi wherever a Hindi version is available.
What happens if my internet drops during a test?
Your answers are saved as you go. Reopen the test from My tests to continue where you left off, while time remains.
Where can I see my results?
I found a wrong answer or a typo. What should I do?
Please tell us! Email support@nextmock.in with the test or question link and what’s wrong. We review every report and fix errors quickly.
Which exams can I prepare for on NextMock?
UPSC Civil Services, State PCS exams, SSC, Railways, Police, Defence and other government exams. See all exams for the full, up-to-date list.
Are previous year question papers available with solutions?
Yes. Previous year questions come with the correct answer and, where available, a detailed explanation. You can read them question by question or attempt the whole paper as a timed test.
Do the mock tests have negative marking?
If the real exam has negative marking, so does our mock test, with the same deduction per wrong answer. The marking scheme is shown on each test page before you start.
Can I re-attempt a mock test?
Yes. After finishing a test, choose Re-attempt to take it again, and see whether your score improved on your previous attempt.
Will I get a rank and analysis after the test?
Yes. Every attempt shows your score, accuracy, rank and percentile among other candidates, section-wise performance and a comparison with the topper, along with solutions to every question.
Can I take tests on my phone?
Yes. NextMock works in any modern browser on mobile, tablet or computer. There’s nothing to install.
Is NextMock linked to UPSC, SSC or any exam body?
No. NextMock is an independent practice platform. See our Disclaimer.
