RRB NTPC · Question 59
There are five people A, B, C, D and E at a party, among whom there are two couples. They are employed as a teacher, a doctor, a lawyer, an accountant and an engineer, though not in the same order. The engineer is married to the teacher and C is the unmarried lawyer. D is an accountant. Teacher B is a female whose female friend is the accountant. Find which of the following could be true.
Show answer & explanation
Answer: (D) A is an engineer.
Explanation
B is the female teacher married to the engineer; C is the unmarried lawyer; D is the female accountant. A and E are the engineer and the doctor. 'D is a male', 'E is a teacher' and 'B is a doctor' are impossible, but 'A is an engineer' could be true.
