A questions and two statements labelled (I and II) are given. You have to decide, which statement(s) is/are sufficient to answer the question. What is Guna's Age? I. Guna, Vinay and Keshav are of same age. II. Sum of ages of Vinay, Keshav and Arjun is 32; also Arjun is as old as Vinay and Keshav together.

Answer: (B) Both statements together are Needed

Explanation

Statement I alone gives no number. Statement II gives Vinay + Keshav + Arjun = 32 and Arjun = Vinay + Keshav, so Vinay + Keshav = 16, but not Guna's age. Together, Vinay = Keshav = Guna, so each is 8. Both statements are needed.
